Zu is a half-bird, half-man thunder demon who stole the Tablets of Destiny from Enlil in Sumero-Akkadian mythology. Anu ordered the gods to retrieve the stones. Some legends say that Marduk killed the demon, although others say that the god Ninurta killed it with an arrow.
